- ENERGY STAR recommends purchasing an air purifier that has a clean air delivery rate (CADR) at least 2/3 the size of the room. This allows the air purifier to clean the entirety of the room's air approximately 5-times in one hour. The Clorox Type AP32 has a CADR of 142 cubic feet per minute, making it ideal for medium rooms roughly 215 sq ft.
- The Clorox Type AP32 utilizes a replaceable 3-in-1 air filter:
- Pre-filter to capture larger particles in the air like pet fur, dust and lint.
- HEPA filter to capture particles as smaller particles (down to 0.1 microns) like smoke, mold spores, pet dander, pollen and other allergens.
- Activated carbon filter to reduce the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odors.
- Be alerted when it's coming time to replace your filter through the replacement light indicator on top of the unit.
- Set a timer in 1, 4 or 8 hour intervals at the unit to save even more energy.
